Jeannie Heath, Office Manager

As a child, I recall turning down my mom’s offer for medication more often than not. Somehow, even then, I knew that my body didn’t need drugs for normal childhood sicknesses. But my family had a strong belief in the power of medicine, so as I became an adult, I began to rely more on medicine in general. I began to get sinus headaches as a teenager, and mom always had a cabinet full of medication that I could choose from. So I found myself reaching for drugs every time I got a headache. Before I met my husband, I was getting sinus headaches 3-4 times per week, and taking aspirin every time! It took me 3 months of dating him before I realized that I wasn’t taking any medication. I hadn’t had a headache in 3 months! Becoming a part of the chiropractic community has been like coming back to a long lost belief system. It is something I can believe in and stand behind with all my heart.

Jeannie Heath was born in Grand Rapids, MI but lived most of her life in Kalamazoo. Christine Cronk, Massage Therapist

I am very excited to be working with the Chiropractic First family. As a child, my mother would bring me and my siblings to this very clinic to get adjustments from Dr. Meyer. I loved the atmosphere then, and it’s still the same today. I am a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT), and know the importance of keeping the body in healthy working order with regular adjustments and massage. I recently graduated from Everest Institute in February 2014, but Jeannie says it seems like I’ve been doing massage forever! It is very exciting to be able to put the things I have learned into action and begin helping others feel their best!

Christine was born and grew up in Grand Rapids. She loves being a mother and grandmother. Before changing careers and becoming a massage therapist, Christine worked at a bakery. She absolutely loves to make people feel better through massage and has had a lifelong interest in reflexology.

Vanessa Flores, Chiropractic Assistant

Since I was a child, I’ve always been fascinated by two things: helping people and the human body – its anatomy and physiology! Chiropractic embraces both at the same time. Since joining the Chiropractic First family, I’ve loved every second of learning about Chiropractic and have seen firsthand why it is vital for every human being (we all have a spine!) to receive care so they can live a longer, healthier and happier life! I’m excited about teaching others everything I know and continue to learn about Chiropractic in order to impact as many people in our community as possible. Or, as Dr. Heath likes to say, “to make a dent in the universe!”

Vanessa was born in Guadalajara, Mexico. Since the age of 3, she has grown up and lived in Wyoming, MI. She is currently learning Italian, as she aspires to become trilingual – she is fluent in English and Spanish. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and the family dog, Bentley. She also enjoys traveling and is a huge sports fan! She roots for the LA and Detroit professional teams and the Michigan State Spartans… Go Green!

Sidney LaLonde, Chiropractic Assistant

“Looking back on my childhood, I am so thankful for all the ways my mom taught my siblings and I about the importance of health and happiness- and how they go hand in hand. Working here at Chiropractic First gives me the opportunity to work in an environment that practices these same beliefs. I feel so lucky to be able to work with others (employees and patients) who are mindful, aware, and motivated to be healthier and happier individuals. Listening to the body is the first step to healing! Doc teaches us that treating the cause of illness and disease and not just the symptoms results in a longer, healthier life.”

Sidney grew up in Grand Haven Michigan. She has an educational background in Environmental Studies and Sustainability. She enjoys being outside as much as possible- going for hikes, swimming in the lake, camping, and gardening. In her free time, Sidney loves to work on her art, read books, and spend time with her friends.

Lucy Chavez

Ever since I was young, I was always considered a healthy child and I rarely went to the hospital or needed prescriptions. I had one encounter with chiropractic when I was younger but as I grew up I stopped going. But ever since I joined the Chiropractic First Family, Dr. Heath has shown me how critical getting adjusted is and I have witnessed patients who have gotten better with each adjustment. It brings me joy to see our community live longer, happier and healthy lives and I am excited to be able to learn more and experience the improvement of our patients and community!”

Lucy was born in Wyoming, MI and is the youngest of 3 siblings. In her spare time, she enjoys listening to music, going out with friends and spending time with her family.
